On October 19th, Vogue Homes received the award for Best Interior Architecture - Housing, at the 5th edition of the SIC Expresso Real Estate Awards. The winner this year was the São Carlos building in Chiado, one of the most emblematic and traditional neighborhoods in the city of Lisbon, following the award of Best New Construction to the MGC 720 development in the city of Oporto, in last year's edition, this recognition places yet another SIC Expresso trophy in the hands of Vogue Homes.
The São Carlos building, rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake and now rehabilitated by Vogue Homes, is a historic jewel in the heart of Lisbon. In the 19th century, the square in which it is located, with the same name, gained enormous prominence with the construction of the Real Teatro de São Carlos. In recent decades, Chiado has undergone increasing revitalization, against the lack of characterization resulting from immediacy and massification, unfortunately often difficult to fight.
The rehabilitation was a successful challenge on an aesthetic, technical and environmental level, always with a view to an end that honored the past and provided the best experience today. Watch the video to see the result.
